Comprehensive therapy services

 

Introductory

Introductory for first time clients (does not apply to the following types of massages : Thai , Sport deep tissue, Lymphatic Drainage, and Oncology). Total appointment time will take 60 minutes. 

 

Medical Massage

Medical Massage is prescribed and intended to resolve conditions that have been diagnosed and prescribed by a Physician. The Medical Massage Practitioner can use a variety of modalities or techniques such as Neuromuscular therapy, Myofascial release, Lymphatic drainage, Muscle testing, Trigger point therapy etc. but will focus the Medical Massage session on the areas of the body related to the diagnosis.

 

Deep-Tissue Massage

Techniques that utilize deep-tissue/deep-muscle massage are administered to affect the sub-layer of musculature and fascia. 

 

Sports Massage

Sports massage is a targeted form of massage for athletes, typically given before, during and after events. It helps to relieve swelling, reduce tension, improve flexibility, prevent injuries.

 

Prenatal Massage

Prenatal massage is therapeutic bodywork that focuses on the special needs of the mother-to-be as her body goes through the dramatic changes of pregnancy. 

 

Manual Lymphatic drainage

Manual Lymphatic drainage is a type of massage based on the hypothesis that it will encourage the natural drainage of the lymph which carries waste products away from the tissues.

 

Thai Massage

Thai massage was adds to Unesco’s Intangible Culture Heritage of Humanity list in 2019, this ancient healing method practised by Buddhist monks at the temple uses a blend of stretching yoga and acupressure techniques to relax the body.

 

Oncology Massage

An oncology massage is a patients-specific, customized massage session designed to meet the unique and changing needs of someone in treatment for cancer or with a history of cancer  treatment. A safe massage plan generally revolves around the side effects (both short- and long-term) of chemotherapy, radiation and surgery.

 

Rolfing

is a system of bodywork invented by Ida Pauline Rolf (1896–1979) employing deep manipulation of the body's soft tissue realignment and balance the body's myofascial structures.

Stretch Theory

 The Therapy we use is the Mattes Method of Active Isolated Stretching (AIS &PNF) which is successful in correcting many types of muscular and neurological diseases and injuries, including, but not limited to, whiplash, stroke, spinal cord, arthritis, and chronic neck or back pain.
